Manan Vohra, cricketer from India who is very known for his batting abilities. He has played for India under 19 team, and have made his first class debut for Punjab during 2011- 2012, and he is also a right arm fast medium bowler. Here is a very short Interview of the emerging Indian cricketer Manan Vohra who is sharing his views with The Common Diary viewers.
- How did you find passion for cricket and became a cricketer?
When I was around 6 years old, I used to see Sachin Tendulkar batting, I have always enjoyed how he use to bat and used to copy him in my backyard because of that I wanted to play like him so my parents took me to an academy and things started from there slowly and steadily, the passion towards the game increased and God made it possible
- What are your strengths? What are your weakness?
My strength have always been my family because they are always there for me in my rough times and have always supported me, and that is what makes me feel so strengthen and my weakness are my mood swings which keeps changing pretty often so I need to start controlling them.
- How do you respond to under pressure?
I leave everything to the lord, I have a lot of faith in the almighty so I hardly get under pressure because I know that he has plan for each and everyone of us, so why to worry when God is always there.
- Who do you think your idol is?
My Idol is Sachin Tendulkar, the way he used to play his game is very much disciplined and he sure is tremendous. I also consider Virat Kohli because of the way he shows commitment on the field and he is much determined to perform every time he steps on the field.
- What do you like the most about your profession?
The thing i like the most about this profession is that the challenges we face everyday while playing in different kinds of a situation, so hence facing challenges is the ingredient to success.
- How have you changed for last 10 years?
For the past years, I have started to control my anger and ego issues.
- When are you completely satisfied with your work?
I am trying my best everyday on the field and giving my full efforts which makes me feel satisfied, other than that hardly anything matter to me.
- What would you like to tell youngsters who wants to achieve in Cricket?
I would just tell them to take cricket as a sport and enjoy as much you can, The more we go deep in to the game and start taking it to the heart will give pleasure but its important not to stop enjoying because it takes you down and gives you a lot of stress. One should not play for the results, obviously good results is what we play for but trust me it’s not at all in our hands. Our life and everything we do in it is controlled by the lord. We just need to focus on the process and work hard each and every day and make it count. Things will fall in place by God’s grace and once you have worked hard then you need to have self belief which is the key. The more you believe in yourself and God, the more things will keep getting better. One should not be afraid to fail ever because the more you fail, the more u learn from it and you get more hungry to do well, so always have a smile on the face whenever you step on the field.
- Who is your current favorite actress? Actor?
Currently, it is Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez.
- Can you share your hobbies with us?
I love to sing and dance, also love to do shopping , play Xbox and love to sleep.
- If not a cricketer, what else you could have become?
I would have became a Singer.
- Any funny moments you would like to share with our readers?
I am pretty serious personality so there are hardly any funny moments till now.
- What would you like to tell your fans?
I would just tell my fans, thanks for supporting and loving me so much all the time even during my bad phase and you have all been there for me. I am very much blessed to get so much love from everywhere, just keep supporting and keep showering your blessings towards me.
