Chicken Biryani!

Hello everyone, Today’s recipe is Chicken Biryani.

Ingredients:

Chicken – 1Kg
Basmati Rice – 500Gm
Oil – 1 Cup
Cinnamon- 1
Cardamom- 4
Cloves- 4
Onion – 7
Tomato – 4
Green Chillies- 6 whole
Turmeric- a Pinch
Chilli Powder – 1 Spoon
Ginger Paste – 1 tbsp
Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Yogurt – 4 tbsp
Lemon Juice- 3 tbsp.
Butter- 1 tbsp
Salt- As Needed

Method:

  • Separately: Soak 3 cups of rice, and add 3 table spoon of salt and boil them. Till they are 3/4 cooked, then drain them.
  • Marinate the Chicken: Add 1 spoon of chilli powder, turmeric, some ginger and garlic paste, and mix them well.
  • Heat Oil, once the oil is heated, add Cinnamon, Cardomom, Clove. Then add Onion. Fry the Onions till golden, then add green chillies along with it.
  • Then add tomatoes, and then add some more ginger and garlic paste. Saute them till the smell of tomatoes goes away.
  • Now, add the marinated chicken well and saute them till the chicken gets cooked. Now add, 1 spoon of chilli, some salt, turmeric. Add in the yogurt and mix them.
  • Now, add lemon juice. Cover and cook till the Chicken is cooked and tender.
  • Now, on a large pan, add butter, spread half of the rice evenly, then add the mixture we made and spread the remaining rice over it. Now, cover and cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
